Misty Morning Marina

from the Urban Portrait series

There is a famous line from “Wind in the Willows,” Kenneth Grahame’s children’s classic: “There is nothing — absolute nothing — half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.” Painting them is also fun, as their bobbing silhouettes and reflections are so enticing to the artist. Based on a photo by artist Joe MacKechnie.
